Three people were killed and five others injured January 21 in the crash of a Sonicblue Airways Cessna Caravan as it approached Vancouver Island, B.C. During the approach, the pilot transmitted a mayday and asked to land at Port Albeni. However, the turboprop single crashed about six miles from the airport.
