Honeywell Signs APU Support Deal with Hainan Airlines
By using connectivity, Honeywell's GoDirect Maintenance Service program reduces maintenance downtime.

Honeywell’s GoDirect Maintenance Service program notched a new deal this month to support auxiliary power units (APUs) in China’s Hainan Airlines fleet of 50 Airbus A330s. Future plans call for including 40 more A330s when they are delivered, for a total of 90 aircraft supported by the program.

GoDirect uses connectivity and data analytics from Honeywell’s Connected Auxiliary Power Unit to identify potential mechanical issues before they become a problem. By collecting APU data over time, the program uses analytical algorithms to predict possible issues and helps prescribe preventative measures. Using connectivity to support APUs has been shown to improve maintenance practices and reduce downtime. Data supplied through the program enables preventative maintenance that can avoid unscheduled repairs. Honeywell is exhibiting at EBACE booth O121.
