Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

West Star Aviation specializes in airframe repair and maintenance, engine repair and maintenance, major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, paint, parts, surplus avionics sales, window repair and accessory services.

West Star held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday on a more than 109,000-sq-ft expansion of its MRO facilities in Grand Junction, Colorado. The celebration marked the beginning of construction on adding 40,000 sq ft of hangar space to enable the MRO chain to meet increasing demand for maintenance services. In addition, the project will encompass 38,000 sq ft of office and back shop space and an extra 31,000 sq ft of ramp space.
West Star is working with Tectonic Management Group on the design and build of the expansion, which is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2026. West Star said the new facility will enable it to enhance its resources to support employees and customers and position it for long-term growth.
“As we officially break ground, we look forward to the opportunities this expansion will create for our customers, employees, and the local community,” said West Star president and COO Allen McReynolds. “The expansion at Grand Junction reflects our focus on customer needs, service excellence, and operational efficiency.”
Curtis Englehart, executive director of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP), noted the importance of the project to the community. “The collaboration between West Star, GJEP, and other key stakeholders has been instrumental in making this vision a reality. We are excited to see the continued investment that this project will bring to our community.”
