Sugar Land Regional Airport’s GlobalSelect FBO says it has significantly improved its daily operations following the adoption of X-1FBO, a financial management system designed to enhance transaction processing and reduce manual errors. The company reports that the implementation has led to a 93% reduction in labor hours and an estimated annual savings of $55,000.
Mitchell Davies highlighted the challenges before the upgrade, noting that staff spent extensive time on manual reconciliation, error correction, and data entry. “This process required an average of eight hours a day from multiple employees – the equivalent of one full-time position dedicated solely to financial reconciliation,” Davies explained. Monica Sarduy, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, emphasized the broader impact of the transition: “For FBOs looking to modernize, the success at GlobalSelect offers a compelling case study. The transition to automated processes and real-time data management isn’t just about convenience—it’s about unlocking significant operational and financial gains.”
According to the company, the adoption of X-1FBO has minimized time-consuming processes. It reports that front desk reconciliation time has decreased from 3.5 hours to 10 minutes, while automated categorization has significantly reduced human error. Additionally, the finance manager spends only 15 minutes daily verifying and uploading transaction data. Beyond financial improvements, GlobalSelect states that operational workflows have been enhanced through handheld devices and a digital dispatch system, improving service efficiency.
