BBJ Completions and MRO specialist Aloft AeroArchitects (Booth 2031) announced a leadership change, naming Robert Sundin as president and CEO of the Boeing completions and MRO specialist. John Martin, current president and CEO, will assume the role of board chairman.
Sundin, a 30-year veteran of the aviation industry, has previously held leadership positions at Bombardier, Landmark Aviation and Dassault Falcon. “My focus will be to oversee the next pivot of Aloft’s business by leveraging John’s foundation of consistent performance into a period of growth in key business segments,” he said.
Aloft also recently redelivered three BBJs following scheduled maintenance at the company’s Delaware facility. Two of the aircraft underwent 15-year inspections and the third had a six-year maintenance inspection that included extensive VIP interior removal and reinstallation.
“Every BBJ is an individual custom work of art,” said John Eichten, Aloft’s vice president of sales and marketing. “As experts on the BBJ platform, we’ve also become experts at managing the technical impacts of variance and individuality into our system of ensuring complete accuracy, efficiency and the highest degree of quality.”
Aloft will also perform a scheduled 12-month inspection on another BBJ, Eichten said, and simultaneously install and receive an STC for its own ADS-B OUT solution. The company is developing additional STCs through its Organization Designation Authorization, Eichten said.
Additionally, Mike Warburton, a commercial and military aviation veteran, has joined Aloft as vice president of strategic sales/technology integration.
