The FAA has certified Aerospace Design & Compliance (ADC) as a production approval holder (PAH) with parts manufacturer approval (PMA). Announced on Wednesday, the approval authorizes the U.S. company to design, manufacture, and certify aircraft parts as airworthy.
According to ADC, it is now positioned to offer a one-stop solution for modification designs, FAA certification, and parts manufacturing. It operates from a new 12,000-sq-ft facility in Melbourne, Florida.
The company, which is part of Atlantic Jet Partners, spent months completing the required FAA audit process for the approvals. It had to demonstrate that it has a PAH/PMA-compliant quality system and satisfactory manuals, processes, and facilities.
“ADC can now deliver what very few organizations in our industry can: fully integrated design, certification, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution, all in-house,” said Joe Rizzo, chief operating officer of Atlantic Jet Partners. “It’s a game-changer for both internal and external customers.”
The group is looking to support other companies needing FAA-approved facilities and services. This could include those needing a supplemental type certificate and that need a qualified manufacturing partner to work from data approved by the aviation safety agency.
