Earlier this week, Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) signed a collaboration agreement with Boeing to develop and research data analytics. The aim of the collaboration is to develop data-driven capabilities that will maintain and support the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s fleet.

Both partners will determine in which areas data analytics can make a difference to operational readiness. Algorithms and models will be developed that will permit the analysis of data to provide early warning of failures and improve fault diagnosis. It is expected that downtime reductions and improved availability will result from such analysis. Among the Boeing aircraft in service with the RSAF are the F-15SG Eagle, AH-64D Apache and CH-47 Chinook.
