Nomad Wins Part 145 MRO Approval
The maintenance division of Switzerland’s Nomad Aviation is now authorized to work on various Cessna, Embraer, and Bombardier models.

Nomad Technics, the maintenance division of Switzerland’s Nomad Aviation, has received EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval to perform full line and base maintenance at its Basel facility. The authorization covers Embraer, Bombardier, and Cessna platforms, including Embraer’s Legacy 600 and 650; Bombardier’s Challenger 604, 605, 650, 800, 850, CRJ 100, Global Express, Global Express XRS, and Global 5000 and 6000; and the Cessna Citation CJ1, CJ2, and CJ3.


The approval marks “a great expansion of our range of business aviation services,” said Heinz Koehli, executive chairman of Nomad Aviation.


Nomad Technics has an 80,000-s-ft (7,400 sq m) maintenance hangar and 75,000 sq ft of ramp space at Basel’s International EuroAirport. The company also offers hangarage services for aircraft up to the size of the Boeing 737 series and the Airbus A320 family.


Nomad Aviation also provides aircraft management and charter service, with a fleet ranging from the Cessna Citation CJ1+ to an Airbus ACJ319, with Embraer Legacys, Bombardier Challengers and Globals, and Gulfstreams. Its corporate offices are located in Zurich-Kloten and Basel, Switzerland and Sliema, Malta.
