Gogo Business Aviation (Booth 4343) has surpassed 5,000 air-to-ground connectivity systems flying on business aircraft, including 450 of its new Avance L3 and L5 systems.
Avance L5 has been on the market for the last year and supports bandwidth-intensive activity. The 4G L5 system has flown on more than 28,000 flights since the beginning of the year, supporting streaming video, videoconferencing, email with large attachments, and fast web browsing. Meanwhile, More than 350 L5 systems have been installed and another 300 have been shipped. The company expects to reach 100 L3 installations by mid-November less than one year after launch.
Gogo noted that Avance L5 is FAA approved for installation across more than 40 airframe types, with the company's partners planing to secure another 15 approvals in the coming months. Meanwhile, L3 STCs have been approved for seven aircraft models, with another coming in the next few days, the company said. Avance combines Gogo hardware with proprietary software to create fully-integrated in-flight connectivity.
