Recaro Aircraft Seating is presenting a new range of aircraft seat models and technologies this week at AIX 2025 that are focused on enhancing passenger comfort and integrating lightweight, modular designs across multiple cabin classes.
“We are excited to showcase our latest advancements in passenger comfort at AIX 2025,” said Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating and Recaro Holding. “At Recaro, our mission is to elevate the travel experience through innovative lightweight design and cutting-edge technology. AIX serves as the perfect venue to connect with industry leaders, gather valuable feedback, and demonstrate our commitment to creating more comfortable and enjoyable journeys for travelers worldwide.”
This commitment is evident across Recaro’s product lineup on display at the expo. Among the featured products is the R7 Business Class seat, displayed in multiple configurations. According to the company, it includes features such as a front-row suite option, jetlag mitigation systems, and predictive maintenance technology. The R3 long-range Economy Class seat emphasizes legroom and ergonomic support, while also achieving a weight reduction of nearly two kilograms compared to earlier models.
Focusing on space optimization and weight savings, the R4 Premium Class seat offers a 10% reduction in baseline weight and additional features like privacy wings and a distinctive single-plate table. For the leasing market, the newly launched R2 SPRINT offers shorter lead times and a 15% weight reduction over its predecessor.
Recaro also introduced sustainable seat components, such as literature pockets made from recycled fishing nets and recycled cable plates, now integrated into the R1 and R2 Economy Class products.
