IBAC Launches Online IS-BAO Auditor Currency Training
There are now nearly 800 IS-BAO-registered operators worldwide.

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) has introduced an online currency training option for its International Standards for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) auditors. “It is not only a convenient way for auditors to maintain their currency, but it also supports our IS-BAO operator clients by ensuring a continuous cadre of qualified auditors available to them,” said IS-BAO program director Bennet Walsh.

Once training is completed, the auditor will notify the auditor accreditation manager of completion, who will verify that the training was successfully finalized. “Then the auditor's record will be updated with the new currency date that reflects the completion date,” said IS-BAO auditor accreditation manager Yvonne Marinus. “We anticipate good participation with this online option, but we will continue to offer the in-person workshop currency option for auditors who have not completed at least one IS-BAO audit as a lead auditor or audit team member.”

There are now nearly 800 IS-BAO-registered operators worldwide. Tailored specifically for business aircraft operators, IS-BAO is built upon the recommended practices of ICAO to provide an independent means for industry professionals to meet the highest safety standards.
