Business jets traveling to the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this month are being supported by extensive OEM services. Dassault Falcon Jet is providing full support, including a 24/7 Falcon Command Center, mobile repair teams, a local service center and ground crews on call to assist customer needs for the length of the Games, which conclude on August 21. Dassault Aircraft Services’ company service center in Sorocaba, near SĂŁo Paolo, has added $4 million in spare parts to its existing $6 million inventory to beef up the local support capability.

Embraer has a field support representative based in Rio de Janeiro, and a team of engineers and technicians from Embraer's Service Centers in Brazil will be available 24/7. In addition, field support representatives are positioned in SĂŁo Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Salvador, which are among the cities where 16 national teams will compete in the Olympic Football Tournament. All support will be coordinated through Embraer's 24/7 customer contact center.

Bombardier’s São Paulo customer support offices are coordinating the Canadian airframer's effort. Bombardier’s customer support team has three field service representatives based in Rio and São Paulo. Four customer response team members are available to provide on-site maintenance support capable of both EASA and FAA sign-offs.

In addition to its service center in Sorocaba outside of SĂŁo Paulo, Gulfstream has a Field and Airborne Support Team (FAST) in Rio. Textron Aviation is working closely with TAM, its local authorized service facility, to provide increased support for the fleet both on site and throughout the region.
