The Massachusetts Business Aviation Association held its third annual Aviation Day on June 8 at the Rectrix Aviation FBO on Hanscom Field in Bedford, Mass. The event drew more than 275 attendees who enjoyed munchies, the company of their colleagues and visiting with vendors of product and support services.
On static display were the Bombardier Challenger 650, Gulfstream G450, Dassault Falcon 2000S, Cessna Citation Latitude, Beechcraft King Air 350i, Embraer Legacy 500, HondaJet, and Leading Edge customers’ GIV-SP and G650. In addition to Rectrix Aviation, booths were staffed by West Star Aviation, Enterprise Holdings, Sutton James Aviation Insurance, Solairus, Commonwealth Worldwide, Rockwell Collins, PNC Aviation Finance, Shoreline Aviation, Exclusive Air Charter Brokers, Satcom Direct, Dallas Airmotive, JSSI, Signature Flight Support, Executive Jet Management, and Rita’s Catering (which supplied the food).
Formed in 2001, the MBAA is a not-for-profit association founded to promote and advocate for business and general aviation interests within Massachusetts. Membership consists of some 75 bizav companies and individuals. Golf tournaments fund the group’s scholarship program for deserving aviation students. The MBAA’s 5th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 8 at Bolton, Mass. Players are invited to sign up.
On November 30, the association will introduce its first Safety Day. At press time, details of the program were still being worked out, but it will likely be similar to safety standdown events held by other groups and aircraft manufacturers.
