Duncan Aviation was named by Avionica as its newest authorized dealer and installation center for Avionica aircraft data collection and satellite data communications equipment. 

Miami-based Avionica was founded in 1992, and its miniature quick-access recorder has been installed on more than 7,000 aircraft, including most business jet types. The latest version is the miniQAR 4G wireless quick-access recorder. Avionica also provides the avSync secure, automated data transfer service, which works over Wi-Fi and 4G. Both the miniQAR and avSync service support downloading and transmission of data for aircraft operators’ flight operational quality assurance programs. 

Avionica has also entered the market for FANS 1/A+ retrofits, with the SatLink Max air traffic service safety-voice-certified Iridium satcom system. “The addition of Avionica’s FANS 1/A+ approved satellite communications equipment to Duncan Aviation’s portfolio allows operators a one-stop solution for complete FANS 1/A compliance,” said Avionica vice president of sales Anthony Rios.
