ARSA Sets Date for 2015 Symposium
The event covers key issues of importance to the maintenance industry in the coming year.

The Aeronautical Repair Station Association has set March 18 for its annual Legislative Day and March 19 and 20 for its Repair Symposium. The two-day event, to be held at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, Va., provides an opportunity for aviation professionals from around the world to tackle key maintenance industry issues.

This year’s Legislative Day begins with a briefing from ARSA senior staffers about the threats and opportunities for the aviation sector on Capitol Hill, the importance of political engagement and the process for the next FAA reauthorization. There is also a presentation on the association’s agenda for 2015 followed by a chartered bus ride to Capitol Hill for meetings with elected officials, a screening of the Aviation Maintenance Industry Documentary and a briefing on the economic impact of repair stations in communities across the country.

The two-day symposium agenda opens with FAA associate Administrator John Hickey speaking on “What We Have Done Lately,” which will cover updates on the regulations, policies and procedures governing the maintenance industry. Also included are four breakout sessions: reporting maintenance errors, workforce development, negotiating maintenance agreements and dealing with the government.
