Duncan Aviation Moves into New Facility
Duncan Aviation recently opened a 40,000-sq-ft hangar at its Lincoln facility.

A Falcon 7X and three other corporate aircraft have moved into a new 40,000-sq-ft hangar bay at Duncan Aviation’s facility in Lincoln, Neb.

“The hangar opened a few weeks ahead of schedule,” said airframe services manager Chad Doerhing. “We worked to complete it sooner because of the sheer volume of aircraft we have moving through our facility right now.”

The hangar is one of two housed in a new 175,000-sq-ft facility and is the only part that has received occupancy permits so far.  The rest of the building is set to be completed in June.

According to Doerhing, the new facility will consist of two 40,000-sq-ft maintenance hangars and a 95,000-sq-ft office and shop area. The structure shop and engine line shop will open toward the end of this month. Altogether, the new maintenance structure is the largest expansion project Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln campus has ever seen.

The new facility adds to Duncan’s existing 485,000-sq-ft complex.
