Staeco Named Embraer ASC in China

Embraer has named Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering (Staeco) of Ji’nan, China, its authorized service center in China. Staeco will provide line and heavy maintenance for E-Jets in accordance with China Civil Aviation Regulation Part 145 standards.

The Chinese regional aviation market will be responsible for 15 percent of worldwide deliveries of 61- to 120-seat jets in the next 20 years. Embraer forecasts a demand in China for 1,005 new jets up to 2031 in this category (455 jets in the 61- to 90-seat segment and 550 jets in the 91- to 120-seat segment).

Staeco focuses on maintenance and engineering solutions for midsize and small aircraft in civil and executive aviation. Its MRO business covers cargo conversion, heavy maintenance, system upgrade, transit check, component overhaul, part fabrication, technical training, engineering design and consulting, engineering management, parts sales and so on.

The company now operates five hangars with 10 maintenance production lines, supported by professional technical engineers and a research and development center.
