The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) has moved its national headquarters from the Washington, D.C. area to Ionia, Mich. Dale Forton, PAMA’s newly appointed president, resides in the area and points out, “With modern communication methods we don’t need to be in Washington anymore.” The move is seen to be about increasing efficiency and cutting costs. It increases efficiency by collocating the president’s administrative staff while reducing the high costs associated with life in Washington as the new president implements his strategy to revitalize the organization.
