Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS), a Berlin-based maintenance, repair and overhaul facility specializing in Bombardier business aircraft, has expanded the capabilities at its line maintenance station in Riga, Latvia. The station is now able to serve aircraft flying under the registration of Bermuda as well as the Cayman Islands, and EASA line maintenance approval has been extended to the Bombardier Challenger 850. In partnership with FBO Riga, LBAS offers FBO services that include comprehensive line maintenance support for the Learjet 40/45/60, Challenger 601/604/605/850, Global 5000 and Global Express XRS. In addition, LBAS also provides support for the CRJ100 and CRJ200. “Many of our customers operate in Eastern Europe and the former CIS regions, where the Challenger 850 is popular. As such, we are happy to extend our services to Challenger 850 operators as well as to aircraft flying under the registration of the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. With the certification we received from EASA, line maintenance support can be accommodated on the Challenger 850, greatly enhancing the service level we can provide to Bombardier customers in the region,” said Andreas Kaden, LBAS managing director.
