Responding to demand from the aeromedical industry, Jet Support Services (JSSI) is adding Eurocopter EC135/145 services to its lineup. “We did a market-share analysis last June and found a total of 633 Eurocopter EC135s and 377 EC145s in service worldwide,” Kandi Spangler, JSSI v-p of marketing, told AIN. “From a marketing perspective sheer numbers are only one aspect.” The hourly-cost program for the EC135 provides coverage for the Turbomeca Arrius 2B2 and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW206B2 engines. The offering includes standard JSSI premium, select and term programs with optional coverage for engine removal and replacement and freight. EC135 owners and operators may enroll their in-service or newly delivered engines to ensure budget stability. The new JSSI EC145 program provides coverage for the Turbomeca Arriel 1E2, offering the same program benefits as the EC135 program. “We also see a demand for airframe coverage, so we’re looking at adding it by late summer, with gearbox coverage probably being offered by the end of this year,” said Spangler.
