Ground support equipment supplier Aero Specialties is here at EBACE (Booth No. 1235) as an official distributor of Unitron ground power units. Unitron, based in Dallas, Texas, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and for the first time is unveiling a line of GPUs that are approved to European Union standards. These include 200/115 VAC, 400 Hz and 28 VDC units in a variety of combinations, specifically designed to operate from a European 400/230V 50 Hz utility bus.

The 28 VDC versions–known as the UDC series–are rated to provide either 400 or 600 amps continuous regulated voltage with aircraft start capacities of 1,000 and 2,000 amps, respectively, while the 400Hz GPUs in the UFC series are available in 20, 30 and 40 kVA ratings, including optional overload ratings of up to 600 percent depending on model. The mobile or fixed units feature a variety of customization choices including analog, digital and touch screen control panel options, as well as custom colors and markings.
