Product Support Survey, released yesterday, readers rated Gulfstream number one overall for both newer and older business jet support, while Pilatus ranked highest for new turboprops and Mitsubishi topped the rankings for older turboprops. In the newer jets category, Cessna came in second, followed by Boeing BBJ in third place. Cessna climbed to second place for older jets this year, and Sabreliner came in third in this category. In the helicopter segment, Bell topped the rankings, followed by Sikorsky, then AgustaWestland. Companies that saw significant jumps in rankings this year included Bombardier (Challenger and Learjet), Embraer (Legacy 600), Sikorsky, AgustaWestland and Eurocopter. This year, 14,948 subscribers were offered the opportunity to participate in the product support survey and 1,832 submitted responses, a strong 12-percent return rate, up from 10.28 percent last year. The results of the avionics and engine surveys will be published in AIN’s September and October issues, respectively.
