Preliminary Report: Learjet crash kills Mexican official

Bombardier Learjet 45, Mexico City, Mexico, Nov. 4, 2008–The Learjet, carrying Mexico’s Interior Minister, Juan Camilo Mourino, four of his aides and three crewmembers, crashed into a business district in Mexico City during rush hour, killing all on board. Five people on the ground were killed when the jet crashed into a number of cars, setting them on fire, and 40 people were injured. The airplane was on approach to Mexico City Airport.
