Operators of the Global Express can now turn to Midcoast Aviation for their 8C landing gear inspections, the first non-OEM entity certified to perform the service. Skip Madson, senior vice president of operations at Midcoast, said that the 8C procedure can be completed as part of the 120-month interval for inspections, a process that takes about six weeks. He also said it expands Midcoast to a “one-stop shop” for Bombardier’s Global Express and Challenger series. Midcoast is marking its 10th year of service work for the Challenger 600 and 601 at its exhibit this week at Booth No. 3997. The company was acquired in spring 2006 by Jet Aviation Group of Switzerland, and operates full-service completions, maintenance and modification shops certified to the AS9100 standard.
