<p>A federal judge approved a deal between the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Gulfstream Aerospace in which the airframe manufacturer agreed to pay $2.1 million to more than 60 former employees–none of them pilots–to settle an age-discrimination suit. The suit and a private one settled in March for an undisclosed amount revolved around allegations that Gulfstream targeted employees 40 years of age or older during a spate of layoffs in 2000.</p>
