With new management and the goal of transforming itself from a development company to a lean production aircraft company, Adam Aircraft put a key foundation block in place here yesterday when it signed a 10-year agreement with SaferJett to provide training for the A700 VLJ and A500 at a facility on Alliance Airport, Fort Worth, Texas.

With type and production certification for the A500 achieved and only the paperwork for the air conditioning outstanding, Adam is focusing on repeating the process with the jet. Adam president Duncan Koerbel yesterday said only that the A700 will be FAA certified with no provisions and deliveries will begin “in 2008.”

SaferJett, initially created as a crew resource management company, has formed partnerships to provide the Adam A700 training with Hillwood Development, the company that will provide the new training facility, due to open by late next year, at Alliance Airport; Aerosim Technologies will supply training devices and virtual flight decks; Mechtronix Systems, FTDs; and Pelesys Learning Systems, computer-based training programs.
