Atlanta-based Precision Aviation Group (PAG) has agreed in principal to acquire Pegasus Aircraft Components of Richmond, British Columbia. The purchase will allow PAG to upgrade services to its customers operating Bell, Sikorsky, Eurocopter and MD/Hughes helicopters in the expanding Canadian market.

The new company will be known as Precision Accessories and Instruments Canada (PAI) and will work in conjunction with Precision Heliparts Canada. The two Canadian operations will complement the Atlanta facilities.

The PAI Canada facility will provide a full range of repair and overhaul services to helicopter operators but will also support regional, corporate and charter turboprop fixed-wing operators. The company specializes in the repair and overhaul of starter generators, instruments, avionics, electrical accessories and components. Ron Breitenstein, owner and general manager of Pegasus, will join the new company and assume the marketing responsibilities of PAI Canada.
