Swissport Executive Aviation has opened a business aircraft handling operation at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The Kenyan operation is the Swiss group’s third business aviation facility in Africa, with bases already having been established in South Africa and Tanzania with its local partner DAHCO. According to Zurich-headquartered Swissport, security will be a high priority at the new Kenyan base and this emphasis will be supported by both its Swissport airline handling parent and Checkport security sister company. Swissport Executive views Africa as a growth market for business aviation services and plans to add more FBOs there.
