Timken has acquired Turbo Engines, of Tucson, Ariz., as it continues to expand its presence in the aerospace aftermarket.

Turbo Engines specializes in the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, PT6T and Twin Pac; Bell components for the Huey, Cobra, 204, 205 and 212; Honeywell T53; and Goodrich T53 fuel controls and governors. Services include complete engine overhaul, accessory overhaul, part restorations, test cells and balancing. The company also provides its clients with field support, exchange units and factory-trained technicians.

According to a Timken spokesman, the company plans to continue the former Turbo Engines operations under existing management and staff of 35 employees at the 42,000-sq-ft Tucson facility.
