Tronair, manufacturer of ground support equipment for a range of users including general aviation and corporate aircraft operators, has acquired JETporter, a major player in the aircraft towing industry.
The products of the two companies are complementary, as EBACE visitors will quickly discover by visiting Booth No. 1213.
The JETporter tugs are expected to boost Tronair’s position in the market. Indeed, Tronair’s engineering team has identified designs that will hit the market soon to support expanding customer demand for towbarless tugs.
JETporter is one of only two aircraft tug companies that produce electric nosewheel lifting tugs, positioning it to respond to growing concern about air-quality problems at airports worldwide. Moreover, JETporter’s ability to move aircraft without using towbars makes the task of repositioning aircraft more productive.
Based in Holland, Ohio, and with offices and service centers in the U.S., Europe and Asia, Tronair–with its expanded range–will be well placed to meet customer expectations on delivery and product support.
