AB139, A109 Power and A109 LOH operators in the Far East now have a new maintenance option. AgustaWestland has appointed DRB-Hicom subsidiary Deftech an authorized service center for the region.

Under the terms of the agreement, Deftech will provide maintenance and repair services and maintain a parts inventory for the AgustaWestland helicopters. The manufacturer anticipates the Far East fleet will reach 20 by the end of this year.

Deftech’s 60,000-sq-ft facility consists of two hangars located on Subang International Airport in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Personnel have already completed the AgustaWestland training program in Italy and are now providing maintenance and repair service to both civilian and military aircraft.
