Boeing Business Jets has selected Jet Aviation Singapore as a BBJ-authorized service center. The company becomes the first BBJ-authorized service center in the Asia-Pacific region, providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services as well as warranty work to BBJ owners. âWe are now in a position to fully support the growing number of BBJ aircraft in the region and are pleased to be part of the BBJ global service center network,â said Thomas Ruedisuehli, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore. The facility joins two other Jet Aviation BBJ-authorized service centers in Basel and Geneva, Switzerland.
Jet Aviation also announced that its Dusseldorf operation completed an expansion project in Hangar 1 that almost doubled the size of its maintenance production area and added 24,450 sq ft of workspace to the facility. Hangar 1 now offers six maintenance bays. The new flooring and heating system includes the laying of a new innovative type of five-layer flooring. The various layers include granite, copper and a special nonskid lamination that helps to ensure that the floor is leak-proof against special fluids used during maintenance activities. In addition, it is fuel-resistant and bleeds off.
