Stevens Aviation recently completed its 26th Blackhawk King Air XP engine conversion. The Blackhawk XP program replaces the engines of 90-series King Airs with new 750-shp PT6A-135A engines flat-rated to 550 shp. According to Stevens, Blackhawk XP aircraft can maintain full takeoff power to about 18,000 feet, climb from sea level to 25,000 feet in 13 minutes, cruise at speeds up to 280 knots and also enjoy increased range. The $615,000 conversion comes with a 1,000-hour warranty.
