Meggitt received a three-year agreement valued at 9 million pounds ($11.34 million) from Pratt & Whitney to provide engine component repair and overhaul services in the Asia region. The SmartSupport agreement covers Pratt & Whitney PW4000 and V2500, along with CFM International CFM 56/78 models serviced at Pratt & Whitney-approved service centers in Singapore, New Zealand, and China. Meggitt will repair the engines at its MRO hub in Singapore.
“This is a fast-growing region for aviation and we have made a significant investment in our Singapore facility as part of our broader investment program both in Asia and around the world,” said Stewart Watson, president of services and support at Meggitt.
Meggitt SmartSupport will provide Pratt & Whitney engine owners with technology and support for the product lifetime, Watson added.
