Ian Whelan
Director of Video

Ian, who joined AIN in 2014, is the company’s director of video. He started his career in 2002 at the art house film distributor The Criterion Collection before moving to a production company that specializes in automotive video content. There, he helped to develop the popular YouTube channel /DRIVE and created content for brands like Porsche, Land Rover, and Aprilia. After a short freelance stint at BBC America, Ian joined AIN full time, bringing his lifelong interest in aviation.
A native of New Jersey, he studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, earning a bachelor of fine arts degree in computer art.
