Scheduled to start March 1, 2025, the FAA will issue “denials” instead of “deferrals” for medical certificate applications that require additional information.&nbsp;The policy&nbsp;change is&nbsp;ostensibly&nbsp;intended to expedite the medical certification process&nbsp;by removing&nbsp;the up to 90 days applicants&nbsp;were given&nbsp;to submit additional medical records&nbsp;under the deferral process. Under the denial process, the applicant may request “reconsideration” within 30 days by submitting the required additional information.
