Based on the Agusta A129 Mangusta helicopter, the ATAK is a twin-engine attack helicopter developed for the Turkish Armed Forces' with Turkish-developed avionics, airframe modifications, and weapon systems. The engines, transmission, and rotor blades have been upgraded as well.
