SAAB’s new GlobalEye surveillance aircraft made its full public debut at the recent Dubai Airshow. The venue was fitting since the Air Force of the United Arab Emirates is the launch customer for the multi-sensor swing-role surveillance system, with deliveries of three aircraft set to begin in the first half of 2020. The Swedish defense group has used Bombardier’s Global 6000 business jet as the platform for an advanced array of surveillance technology.
