Making its Le Bourget debut, and a highlight of the daily flying display, the PAC/Chengdu JF-17 Thunder has come to Paris looking for business. Developed jointly by Chengdu and the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, and produced by the latter’s facility at Kamra, the JF-17 is being promoted as a light combat fighter offering considerable capability at an affordable price. The aircraft here is from the Pakistan Air Force’s No. 26 Squadron ‘Black Spiders’, which was the first unit to become operational on the type in February 2010.
