Airbus’s A330neo Flies at Paris Air Show 2019

The aircraft is a re-engined A330 – now fitted with Rolls Royce Trent 7000 engines – designed to compete with the Boeing 787 at a lower cost. Airbus offers the aircraft with an increased maximum takeoff weight of 251 metric tons, up from 242 metric tons. The 68,000- to 72,000-pound-thrust Trent 7000 benefits from a bypass ratio double that of its predecessor, the Trent 700, and offers a 10-percent improvement in specific fuel burn with less noise.
