Textron Aviation: Jet Shipments Steady, Turboprops Decline
Division delivered 36 jets in the first quarter, up slightly from a year ago
The fourth Cessna Citation Latitude, S/N 003, joined the flight test-fleet yesterday, making a successful 2.5-hour maiden jaunt. To date, the Latitude certification flight-test program has amassed more than 600 flight hours over some 260 flights. Due to the results from this testing, Cessna has extended the midsize business jet's range by 200 nm, to 2,700 nm, and shortened its takeoff distance to 3,668 feet, down from 4,030 feet.
