UAS service supplier AirMap has added new features to its web application, including flight planning and low altitude authorization and notification capability (LAANC) flight authorization ability. Previously, flight planning was available only on the AirMap for Drones Mobile App.
Flight-planning features now include 3D flight plan visualization, enhanced flight plan mapping including the ability to draw flight plans using a computer mouse, and the ability to duplicate past flights. For the latter, drone pilots merely need to log in, navigate to past flights, and select the previous flight desired to create a new flight plan. AirMap says it has processed more FAA LAANC authorizations to date than any other UAS service supplier.
AirMap said it will continue to release more features and functionality to its web app in the future.
