Trig Avionics Plans New Navcom Product Line
Trig Avionics will display a preview of its TX56 family at AirVenture.

Trig Avionics expects to have a navcom available for pilots in early 2019, the company announced on Monday at EAA AirVenture. Trig’s TX56 range is on preview this week at AirVenture and the company intends to list its TX56A 760-channel version at a special introductory price of $3,195. The TX56 products will be available with either 8.33- or 25-kHz channel spacing and either 10- or 16-watt transmit power.

“For many aircraft owners, the navcom remains a vital piece of equipment. We are pleased to preview the TX56. It will make access to certified nav information widely available and will complete the Trig stack,” said Trig CEO Andy Davis

The company said the TX56 family features a high-resolution display, course deviation indicator (CDI), a sweep function to shift from com to nav status, and the ability to load more than 200 frequencies and identifiers into the nav database. Its TX56 line will also use push-step tuning, dual radio watch, and have the ability to replay the last received transmission. The TX57 and TX57A 16-watt versions will be made available by Trig for aircraft using a 28-volt supply.

Trig's TX56 family is compatible with BendixKing, Garmin, and Apollo indicators. The company plans to announce firm dates this fall to detail when the products will be available for order.
