Hartzell’s new high-performance propeller, the Talon, will propel the Goulian Aerosports team’s Extra 330SCs during the team's AirVenture performances. The propeller features an enhanced aerodynamic design supported by Hartzell’s ASC-II resin-transfer carbon-fiber manufacturing process. The Talon kit includes the three-blade propeller and a carbon-composite spinner.

"With its carbon-fiber construction, Hartzell's new Talon propeller has the same proven reliability as the Claw, while delivering even higher performance. The world-famous Claw has been the choice of aerobatic performers for decades. We expect the Talon to be the choice for decades to come," said Hartzell president Joe Brown.

The Claw employed a legacy composite compression mold combining Kevlar and carbon, and the Talon represents an advancement beyond the Claw’s design. Michael Goulian, founder of the Goulian team, said, “My flights with Hartzell's new Talon showed an increase in performance while also contributing to crisper execution of the aerobatic maneuvers that are the hallmark of my show. The smoothness and responsiveness of this new propeller are second to none."

The aircraft with the Talon propeller used by Goulian’s team will be on display during the show at the Hartzell exhibit.
