California-based legacy aerospace product manufacturer Ontic recently signed an agreement with Honeywell for LCD cockpit displays. The agreement covers 26 product families with 162 line replaceable units for more than 50 fixed-wing and rotorcraft aircraft manufactured by OEMs such as Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Bombardier, Korean Industries, and more.
“The proactive lifecycle-support planning that Honeywell has undertaken with Ontic provides assurance to the customers that these products are available for as long as the market requires them,” said Ontic president Gareth Hall. “Legacy electronics and avionics have been a substantial part of Ontic’s business for many years, and the products in this license are an excellent fit. We look forward to the continuation of our mutually successful 35-year relationship with Honeywell providing extended-life solutions.”
Earlier this year, the BBA Aviation company signed an agreement with Racal Acoustics to license original equipment manufacturing and aftermarket support for products such as cockpit communications control systems.
