Western Aircraft announced a series of personnel changes. Don West has been promoted from avionics leads to avionics sales account manager to support Western’s MRO sales and marketing team. Jeff Watson has been promoted from a jet team lead to turboprop service manager. Meanwhile, Paul Harrington has joined Western Aircraft as an avionics team lead.
Don West joined Western Aircraft in 2000 as an avionics technician. While acting as avionics sales account manager, he will continue to serve in the Idaho Air National Guard as an integrated avionics communication/navigation mission systems craftsman. West holds an associate of applied science degree in avionics technology from the Community College of the Air Force along with an FAA avionics repairman certificate.
Jeff Watson served in the U.S. Navy for four years as a hydraulic mechanic for the F-18. As a graduate of Idaho State University, he is a licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic who has held multiple maintenance roles within Western Aircraft for 11 years.
Paul Harrington previously worked with Jet Aviation in St. Louis for 20 years, recently acting as its Challenger team avionics lead. He began his career in aviation as an aircraft electrician in the U.S. Army. Harrington currently holds an FCC general radiotelephone operator license.
