Textron Piston Line Receives EASA Certification for G1000 NXi
Textron can now install the flight deck into newly manufactured Cessna 172s, 182s, T206s, Bonanza G36s and Baron G58s.

Textron Aviation’s (Booth V22) piston line received EASA certification for next generation Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck integration. Textron can now install the upgraded avionics into the Cessna Skyhawk 172, Skylane 182, Turbo Stationair HD T206, and the Beechcraft Bonanza G36 and Baron G58.

The Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck features improved graphics, enhanced LED back-lighting and overall flight display modernization. The flight deck also combines map overlay on the HSI, standard ADS-B OUT and IN, improved FMS capabilities that include visual approaches, VFR and IFR charts on the moving map and Sirius XM weather depiction.

Other enhancements include wireless database updates and flight plan uploads with the Garmin Flight Stream wireless gateway as well as runway situational awareness to help pilots avoid incursion via Garmin's SurfaceWatch. The program provides alerts to warn pilots if they are taking off on a short runway or if they are on the wrong runway or landing or taking off on a taxiway.
