Jenoptik (Booth 6323) is unveiling its prototype SkyHoist 800 at Heli-Expo. The new hoist has the capacity to hoist 772 pounds and has a cable length of 394 feet with a maximum hoisting speed of 6.5 feet/second. It features a modular and aerodynamic design with reduced maintenance requirements.

The SkyHoist 800 already has won several awards including the Good Design Award in the Safety and Security category from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the German Design award "Special Mention." Jenoptik collaborated with designer Ralf Jubowski, who has been designing Jenoptik traffic safety systems for more than 10 years, on the hoist's design. Jenoptik has been producing rescue hoists for helicopters since the 1970s.
