SocialFlight Rolls Out Version 5 of Its App on May 1
New features include a flight destinations section, points of interest for pilots and an aircraft of the day feature.

Socialflight, the social media app designed to get pilots up in the air and keep them flying, announced this week at Sun ’n Fun 2016 that it is rolling out Version 5 of its app on May 1. The update has several user features that the old app is missing.

“The beta testers are done now, and they’ve helped us a lot,” Socialflight president Jeff Simon told AIN. The new features include a flight destinations section, points of interest for pilots and an "aircraft of the day" feature. “We are excited to see our more than 200,000 members contribute pictures of their airplanes for the 'aircraft of the day' feature,” said Simon.

The free app is available for both iOS and Android platforms from the Apple App Store and Google Play, respectively.
