Jeppesen will supply Purdue University’s aviation program with professional pilot training materials through an agreement announced today at Sun ’n’ Fun 2015. Under the deal, Jeppesen will provide a customized bundle that includes textbook materials for both private pilot and commercial/instrument pilot training and other elements that enhance the student pilot learning process. Purdue’s student pilots will also be able to subscribe to Jeppesen’s navigation information and charts at a discounted rate.
Student pilots in the Purdue University aviation program will also have access to a Web-based portal that provides a direct link to Jeppesen’s pilot training materials and navigation data.
In other news, Jeppesen and avionics supplier Kings Avionics are offering bundled navigation data and chart services for general aviation pilots. Data included in the bundled services are NavData, JeppView charting, Jeppesen obstacle, terrain and cultural information and eCharts for multifunction display. The agreement with Kings Avionics also simplifies the database update and customer support process for pilots, Jeppesen said.
